Seven year old Amy turns to her dying mother for advice on how to live her life without her mother's guidance. Amy's mother draws her a timeline which details the important decisions and moments in her life: when to go to summer camp, where to go tocollege, which profession to pursue, and most importantly instructs her on romance. Her mother instructs Amy that she won't marry the first or the second boy she falls in love with, but rather the seventh, for by then she'll have had the experience necessary to settle down.
