Trying to get your life on a good path seems to be taking longer than you thought. Outside influences are to blame, although that is not much consolation! A feeling of distrust towards someone who has let you down before is understandable, although were you expecting too much of them then as you do now? As they still have a part to play, a bit of forgiveness is in order.
